Trouble in Zimbabwe

This NY Times article has everything you need for a best-selling book… greed, sleezy politicians, racism and famine.  Unfortunately, it’s a reality in Zimbabwe.  Mugabe is one messed up old man who is doing WAY more damage to his country than good, and is no longer popular with his people.  He is even supposed to have rigged the last “general election” so he could win.  Now he’s ordering all the country’s white farmers off of their land, and right smack in the middle of a very bad famine and drought!  This is ridiculous since the white farmers produce the majority of the country’s food.  So now, instead of putting racism aside for the benefit of his country, he’s trying to return all the land to black farmers, and in the process, crippling his country and ruining his political career.  Sounds like he’s got it all under control…
