Tuff Is Missing

My favorite cat out of the three we have is missing.  It happened in a weird, sad way too.  He loves to hang around by my dad’s work truck, sometimes even laying down in the bed while Dad is working.  Well, today I was loving on him in Dad’s shop.  He then jumped down and got up in the bed of Dad’s truck to sleep.  About half an hour later, Dad takes off to go on a work order.  About 15 minutes later, Dad calls and tells me he was slowing down for some construction when all of the sudden he sees Tuff jump up on his toolboxes and then jump out of the truck!  He ran towards some woods, but Dad couldn’t watch him anymore because he was trying to find a place to pull over.  Once he finally did, he couldn’t find Tuff anywhere.  So my sister and I raced over to where Dad last saw Tuff and she and I combed a HUGE field calling to him.  We had no luck after looking for an hour and a half.  My mother came from work and I had to leave.  My sister and mother kept looking for another half hour with no luck.  After Dad and I finished our bowling league, we went back with flashlights and looked for about 20 minutes.  Again no luck.

I can’t believe we lost him this way of all ways!  He was such a cool and beautiful cat.  Everyone who saw him said they wanted to keep him.  He had such a mellow, laid back character.  It makes me sick to think I saw him lay down in Dad’s truck only minutes before Dad left!

The only thing we can do is place a missing pet ad and hope that Tuff makes it to a safe house and the people respond to our ad.  I hope and pray he makes it to someone nice.  He’s smart.  He was a stray before we found him, so he knows how to take care of himself.  Please God let him be OK and let us find him.
