xPad

I found a great little text editor for the Mac called xPad.  It’s a Cocoa application written by Garrett Murray.  It’s his first Mac app actually, and if it’s any indication of what’s to come then he’s got a bright future in programming ahead of him.

I downloaded a copy and knew within a few minutes I could use xPad.  It’s like TextEdit, but on steroids.  It allows you to organize and store all of the documents you create with it, which are all stored in a drawer for quick access.  You can export your documents into different formats.  It’s not meant to compete with applications like BBEdit or even SubEthaEdit.  However, if you use TextEdit a lot like I do, xPad is certainly worth taking a gander.
